The National Association of Bartenders is a subsidiary of a Corporation named N.R. Corp.

全国调酒师协会是一个名为N.R公司的下属机构。

N.R. Corp was established in 1986 in New York City by Mrs. Connie Bracco. Connie started out as a bartender in 1970, and went on to Bar Manager and later Bar Owner.

N.R公司于1986年由康尼·布拉科（Connie Bracco）女士创立。上个世纪七十年代，康尼开始作为一名酒吧调酒师参加工作，后来成为了酒吧经理，接着自己做了酒吧老板。

Connie's concept was that bartenders needed an association which was set up by bartenders for bartenders. It didn't matter what part of the country you lived in, bartenders always had the same problem—finding jobs, training new people, and being organized or certified.

And with that concept in mind, the Bartenders Association was formed. In 1986, the New York Bartenders Association was opened in the Empire State Building in New York City. A second location opened up in Hicksville, Long Island, NY in 1993. In 1992, the New Jersey Bartenders Association opened in Montclair, New Jersey, with Princeton and Jersey City following suit. In 1996, the California Bartenders Association opened with locations in Los Angeles, Orange County and the San Fernando Valley. This made Connie's dream nationwide. In 2006, the Bartenders Association opened its doors In Tampa, FL and Clearwater, FL.

       With the basic concept the same for twenty years, whether you're an experienced bartender or not, you pay a small fee to get your association card. Then you get free training, certification nationwide and job listing benefits anywhere. 
协会20年来一贯的基本理念是，无论你是不是经验丰富的调酒师，你只要付很少的钱就可以得到一张会员卡。然后，你可以在国内接受免费培训和资格认证，以及在全球范围内列入调酒师名单。

 

Connie's last dream, before she passed away was to establish a home study bartender course with a tape/DVD and training manual to give out jobs and training worldwide.  This is now a reality. Then came the World Wide Web. For a small fee of $99.00 U.S. Dollars, you can receive your DVD training video, your drink manual, and your national certification which is accepted nationwide. These materials are offered in English, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese. 
康尼去世前的最后梦想是利用录像带或DVD和培训手册制作一个家庭调酒师学习课程，这样就能够为全球各地的调酒师提供更多培训和工作机会。现在这个梦想已经实现。接着国际互联网带来了全新的模式。只要支付99美元，你就可以得到培训用的DVD和调酒手册，以及全美范围内认可的全国资格证书。培训资料语言包括英语、西班牙语、汉语和日语。

 

The Association is still operated by Connie's three sons, and the Bartenders Association is now considered the expert in the field.
