ATI DEVOTED TO SINO-US CROSS-COUNTRY TRAVEL SERVICES
The Chinese tourism market, with its great potential, means a lot for tourism operators in the United States and has been attached great importance by them. The US already receives many regular tourists, most coming from Europe as well as some from Australia and Japan. The American government is taking measures to attract more tourists from other regions. Noel Irwin Hentschel, Chairwoman and CEO of American Tours International (ATI), emphasizes this in her speech below.
2007 is a very important year for the tourism market in the United States. Hentschel, Chairwoman and CEO of American Tours International (ATI), says that by actively pursuing such plans, as, setting up permanent offices in China, and establishing cooperation with Air China, which will be the carrier responsible for taking tourists between China and the United States, ATI will expand their client base and develop the travel business between these two countries to send more tourists to one another. So far, ATI is the only one travel operator running the two-way tourism business in the United States.
At the same time, ATI will selectively cooperate with Chinese tourist associations, such as CNTA, CTA. They will also work in partnership with more Chinese travel companies instead of as competitors. Hentschel also indicates that she believes this will be a win-win situation for both Chinese and US tour operators. Both sides will benefit from the cooperation and assistance they offer each other. To encourage ATI’s many supporters in Europe, Australia and Japan to gain first-hand experience and understanding of the Chinese travel market, more sightseeing groups, business delegations and MICE delegations will be organized and headed to China. ATI hopes that their efforts will help promote the development of China's tourism market (Reported from Beijing. Photographed by Feng Zheng)
